Matagorda's West Bay was stained again this weekend. From what I saw crossing the bridge seperating East and West Bay, East Bay was also stirred-up. This made for another slow weekend as we tried the south shore line where we found our best water, but no real action. We waded 2 other reefs, working our way bavk north to the intercoastal, and finally found a couple keepers on the backside of of the reef in the attached pic, where the water was a touch better than what is seen. I picked up a 23 inch red and a 22 inch trout for the stringer. Black with Chartreuse (Morning Glory) swim bait and a Sand Eel blackish belly w/ chartreuse top and tail produced the fish and most bites. Spoons, topwater, and all other plastic colors didn't produce at all.
